The Hospice Family Centre

Over the past few years, our organization has been focused on activities that have ultimately resulted in the opening of our new Hospice Family Centre on Lawrence Avenue in Kitchener. The opening of this facility marks a significant milestone in the history of Hospice of Waterloo Region, but cannot be viewed as the end of the journey for our organization. Instead, we must view this significant accomplishment as being the impetus for further growth and impact within our community.

We are excited by the opportunity that our new facility provides for new partnerships and new and expanded programs/services. In 2010, we gifted office and clinic space to the team of local palliative care physicians, nurses and palliative care educators for the Waterloo Region. Having Hospice of Waterloo Region and these community health care providers under one roof allows seamless access to hospice palliative care services for our clients and brings us that much closer to offering an integrated palliative care system to our community.
