The majority of our services are designed for those who are in their final 12 to 18 months of life. All of our services are offered free of charge to our clients and their families.

Volunteer Visiting

All Hospice Volunteers submit to a rigorous screening process and receive 33-hours of professional training before they can be matched one-on-one with a client. Our Hospice Volunteers are highly skilled and provide quality support to clients dealing with serious illness and their families. Hospice Volunteers are an integral and valued member of your health care team.

Day Away Program

A weekly program that offers the opportunity to participate in discussions and group activities that promotes a sense of well being. The Day Away program is offered in KW and Cambridge.

Professional Counselling Services

For individuals coping with a life-threatening illness and their family members.

Young Adult Support Group

For individuals under the age of 30 to meet and talk with other young adults who are also facing life threatening illness.

Complementary Therapies

Massage, therapeutic touch, and guided imagery for those who would like help managing stress and anxiety.

Hair Salon Services

Volunteer hairstylists provide a wash, cut and style for clients and their caregivers in the privacy of our hair salon at the Hospice Family Centre – call for an appointment.

Legacy Activities

Legacy activities are a way for families to share special moments together when someone in the family has an advanced illness. These activities can provide an opportunity to reflect on the events and people that have made an impact on you or your loved one’s life and can be a powerful coping tool for those who are ill as well as their family and friends.
