A Legal Lens: What YOU Might Not Know About Choosing Your SDM
We invite you to join estate lawyer and litigator Kavina Nagrani and our own local estate planning expert, Jim Kibble, as they discuss their experiences in assisting people in naming their Substitute Decision Maker(s) in a Power of Attorney (POA) for personal care document.
Jim has a gift for taking a complicated issue and walking you through it in detail, using his own experiences, stories of his Aunt Millie and his own ukulele to bring the messages home. Kavina is just as passionate and as a certified specialist has been described as a leading-edge thinker in this field. As both a planner and litigator, her unique approach to POA planning comes from a place of preventing the courtroom fight that may otherwise arise.
As a team of Advance Care Planning (ACP) Ambassadors, we know how important this information is. Jim and Kavina bring both a wealth of experience and their own unique legal perspectives so you will not want to miss this opportunity! We are so convinced that you need to hear this that we are turning the session over to Jim and Kavina completely, with ample time for questions from the audience.
