Help us add touches of kindness, warmth and hospitality to the new Gies Family Centre Hospice Waterloo Region.

Thank you for your support of this campaign!

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s “Making Hospice a Home” virtual housewarming party. This online event was a great way for the community to get involved and contribute to the opening of the new facility. We are pleased to announce that our campaign exceeded its goal of $50,000, raising over $54,000!

As we prepare to open The Gies Family Centre, we are pleased to be adding the final home-like touches. (See info graph below) Through your generosity, we can ensure that this facility will be as welcoming and comfortable as possible for those in need of hospice care in Waterloo Region.

We are grateful to our community circle of care. THANK YOU!

Welcome to our Virtual Housewarming Party!

As we prepare to move into our new home, we want to make sure it is as comfortable as possible for those in need of hospice care in Waterloo Region. So we are hosting a Virtual Housewarming Party, and we invite everyone in the community to get involved!

How it works:

  • When you scroll down, you’ll notice categories of items — from crockpots and bed linens, to crafting supplies and outdoor furniture.
  • If there is a category you would like to donate to, just click on the photo below to learn more about the items needed.
  • Your donation will go towards the purchase of an item in that category.

*Note: As the items need to be new and of a commercial-grade and due to COVID-19 concerns, we are unable to accept direct donations of these items. Please consider sponsoring a new item.
