Looking Back at our First Summer in The Gies Family Centre

The Gies Family Centre Hospice Waterloo Region officially opened in March 2021, including our new Cook Family Residence

For our first summer in our new building, the highlights included hosting several events for clients and staff, and enjoying visits from some furry friends. We also began planting our gardens (and are so thankful for the donation of five beautiful planters from Colour Paradise Greenhouses).

We also received a donation of dozens of caring shawls from the the May Court Club of Kitchener-Waterloo. In addition, thousands of volunteers, staff and community members donated their time to deliver messages of love and hope for our Hands to Hearts greeting card campaign.
